The Maternity Team at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust operates one of the busiest, most successful and highly respected Maternity Service Centres in the whole of the country and our purpose is to make sure that you feel comfortable, cared for and confident at every stage of your pregnancy and birth. We understand that, whether this is your first pregnancy or you are expecting a further addition to your family, you may be one of many mothers-to-be who sometimes feels anxious or overwhelmed with all the new information to take in, people to meet and decisions to make.

Blake Maternity Centre, Gosport

Our Blake Maternity Centre in Gosport, is one of three Midwife led units on offer at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust. We offer parent education classes and postnatal support in practices such as breastfeeding. Many new mothers transfer to the unit for a short stay, even after giving birth elsewhere.

Mary Rose Maternity Centre, Portsmouth

Staffed by highly experienced and qualified Midwives and Health Care Support Workers, the Mary Rose Maternity Centre is a co-located maternity unit that offers expectant mothers a relaxed and peaceful ‘home away from home’.
